Liznjan
Liznjan is a small village of fishermen with some traces agriculture and family based tourism, although most inhabitants work in Pula. It is situated on the south-east parth of Istra , 12 km distant from citty Pula and 2 km from Medulin. Liznjan
Has little over 2000inhabitants on about 60 km2. It has also 27,6 km of seacoast rich with intact beaches.
Near by this church also was found a piece of an sacrifice altar dedicated to god Libero, bizantinian coin from 12th century, and many other artifact which can now be seen in Archeological Museum in Pula. Although just a village of fishermen, Liznjan has three churches – along with the one we mentioned, there is also the Church of Mother of God of Grace on Munt from 1704. and the Parish Church of St. Martin from 1879. built on foundations of an early, preromanic church from 9th century. Near Liznjan there is more than 26 archeological sites among which the most famous are the cave Šandalja with artifacts from Paleolithic and Nezakcium (Vizače), the fort of the iliric tribe of Histri.
